Hi Zane,
I hope that you have had a good week. Here is a brief question concerning the Upper Room Discourse and the Epistle of First John:
- Is it correct to think of First John as an expansion of the Upper Room Discourse or even as based on the Upper Room Discourse?
I think that I have heard this idea expressed but it does not seem to me to be correct. There does seem to be some similar material in First John and the Upper Room Discourse however [such as the imperative of love and abiding in Christ etc.].
